Nain is known for its crisp, finely drawn design and the clean contrast between a dark field and a light border. A square shape is rare in hand-knotted Persian rugs, which makes it a good fit for a square dining room, a seating group or the foot of a bed. The wool has a soft sheen and a firm, even feel underfoot.

Condition: Even pile with sharp, bright colors. The fringe is uneven and slightly yellowed in places, and one edge of the ivory border shows light yellowing. Handmade rugs can be slightly crooked and vary in pile height, length and width from area to area. Each rug is photographed flat from both ends, since its color shifts depending on which way you look at it.
